Plamena Doncheva has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Plamena currently serves as the Head of SME Department at Bulgarian American Credit Bank since December 2018. Prior to this, they worked at Commercial Bank VICTORIA, where they held multiple roles, including Head of PROBLEM LOANS Division and Head of Collection, Restructuring, and Recovery Division. Plamena also served as a Large corporate & Medium business Restructuring Officer. Plamena's experience also includes working at Hypo Alpe-Adria-Leasing Bulgaria as a Senior Manager in the Rehabilitation and Restructuring Division, as well as at Hypo Group Alpe-Adria-Leasing Bulgaria as a Project Manager and Business Assistant to the CEO. Before that, they worked as a Personal Assistant to the CEO at CCB Group Assets Management. Plamena began their career with an internship at Foster Wheeler Iberia in Madrid, Spain, and later worked at KPMG as a Supervisor front office and Front Office Assistant.

Plamena Doncheva completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration at the University of National and World Economy from 2002 to 2006. Plamena then pursued a Master's degree in Finance at the same university from 2007 to 2009. Prior to their university education, they attended English High School Burgas as a private student. Additionally, Plamena also attended Mathematics High School Burgas, though no specific dates or degrees are provided for this school.
