Katy Smullen

Katy Smullen currently serves as the Assistant Head of Lower School for Academics at Bullis School, a position held since July 2023. Prior to this, Katy held various roles at Boulder Country Day School from August 2016 to July 2023, including Assistant Head of Elementary School and 5th Grade and Latin Teacher. From August 2010 to July 2016, Katy was a 6th Grade Classics Teacher at the Episcopal School of Dallas. Additional experience includes serving as Head Coach and Event Staff for XTEAM Lacrosse and a Group Sales Intern for the Dallas Cowboys. Katy also worked as an Account Manager at Direct Mail Solutions. Academically, Katy is pursuing a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration at the University of New England, having previously earned a Master of Education in the same field and a Bachelor’s degree in Latin Language and Literature from the University of Richmond.
