Amit Patel

Amit Patel is an experienced engineering professional specializing in instrumentation and control systems. Currently serving as an E&I Supervisor at Bumi Armada since September 2022, Amit manages maintenance activities for five unmanned platforms and an FPSO, leading a team of six engineers and technicians. Prior to this, Amit held multiple positions at Cairn Oil and Gas from April 2007 to September 2022, including Instrument Superintendent, where responsibilities included managing a 14-member instrument team and overseeing custody transfer metering skid validation and daily gas sales ticket preparation. As a Senior Engineer-Instrumentation, Amit managed breakdown and preventive maintenance activities both onshore and offshore, gaining hands-on experience with various control systems. Amit’s career began as an Instrumentation Engineer, where the ability to handle complex instrumentation tasks was demonstrated. Education was completed at Shantilal Shah Engineering College, Bhavnagar, with a Bachelor of Engineering in Instrumentation & Control Engineering from 2002 to 2006.
