Mr. Sharif Cicip Sutardjo, aged 72, Indonesian citizen, born in Yogyakarta on October 10th, 1948. He has extensive managerial and supervisory experience in a number of companies engaged in property, plantation, transportation, mining, and trade.
He currently serves as Vice Chairman of Governing Board of the Golkar Party since 2016, Chairman of the Indonesia Advisory Board of China Business Council (ICBC) since 2006, and President Commissioner of PT. Persija. Previously, he served as Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia for the period of 2011-2014, Chairman of Supervisory Board of Kadin (the Chamber of Commerce and Industry) for the periods of 2009-2010 and 2019-2020, General Chairman of Indonesia China Business Council (ICBC) for the period of 2002-2006, Chairman of the Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry - China Committee for the period of 1996-2004, General Chairman of the Association of Indonesia Young Entrepreneurs for the period of 1986-1989, and served as member of the Indonesia People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) of the Republic of Indonesia for three periods, since 1987-1999.
In addition, with remarkable professionalism and organizational experience of more than 40 years both at the government and private sector institutions, currently he is still active as a presenter at various trainings and seminars which talk about economic and business issues, as well as key note speaker for a number of national and international media outlets.
He earned a degree in economic and political study from London Economic and Political Institute, London. He obtained a master’s degree in law from the University of Padjajaran Bandung in 2009, and Ph.D. in law from the University of Padjajaran Bandung in 2013.
