Dr. Christoph Schirra

Dr. Christoph Schirra has extensive experience in legal and academic roles, currently serving as Beisitzender in the 12th Decision Department at Bundeskartellamt since September 2012. Previously held positions include Dezernent in the "Prozessführung und Recht" department and Referent in both the Special Commission for Cartel Prosecution and the 9th Decision Department. Dr. Schirra was a scientific researcher and doctoral candidate at Universität des Saarlandes from 2008 to 2012, also taking on the role of lecturer. Other relevant experience includes practicing as a lawyer at Hengeler Mueller and completing legal clerkships at Pfälzisches Oberlandesgericht Zweibrücken, Deutsche Botschaft in der Schweiz, and Hengeler Mueller. Dr. Schirra holds a Dr. jur. from Universität des Saarlandes, a Master of Laws (LLM) from Europa-Institut, and completed the First State Examination in law from Universität des Saarlandes.
