Mark Young is currently the EVP, Managing Director & Chief Growth Officer at Buntin Group. Mark has previous experience as the Chief Marketing Officer at MAPCO Express from January 2017 to April 2018 and as Managing Director at Arizona State University from January 2014 to February 2017.
At MAPCO Express, Mark was responsible for the transition from a local restaurant company to a national advertiser. Mark led a group of agencies, consultants and internal resources through the transition and oversaw all consumer testing from campaign ideation, concept development, ad testing and product launch.
At Arizona State University, Mark implemented a quarterly promotional strategy designed to increase check average, improve food cost and raise overall guest satisfaction. Mark also reengineered the menu design to better meet company’s financial goals and food strategy. Other accomplishments while at Arizona State University include instituting a direct mail campaign geared to drive sales during specific day parts, spearheading the development of new research studies designed to measure guest satisfaction, brand image and internal operations performance, and instituting a financial tracking model designed to measure preference by item, check averages, food cost and margin on a regional and individual restaurant level.
