Mariano Miranda is the Founder and Director of BUO, working on a system for certifying learning and skills through work experience since September 2020. Currently serving on the Board of Directors at RIVET, Mariano is engaged in promoting youth-led social movements. As a Guest Columnist for Nearshore Americas, Mariano collaborates with Camilo Quintero to publish monthly op-eds addressing employment issues in Latin America. Previously, Mariano held the position of Fellow in Residence for Latin America at Peace First, launching initiatives in the region, and served as Director at EDaway, focusing on international education processes. An Investment Associate at Grupo Stratos, Mariano supported a Private Equity firm in investment evaluations, and held internships at the OECD assisting Costa Rica’s accession process and at Yale University as an Economic Assistant and Project Manager for sustainability initiatives. Mariano graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
