Christopher Riven

Christopher Riven is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in power systems and operations. Currently serving as Principal Electrical Engineer at Burbank Water & Power since December 2012, responsibilities include managing the Power Grid SCADA environment and training SCADA engineering staff. Previous roles include Power System Operator I and Senior Electrical Engineer at Burbank Water & Power, where responsibilities involved real-time energy trading and technical support for the Energy Control Center. Prior to this, Christopher Riven worked as an Engineer at Imperial Irrigation District, focusing on power flow analysis and interconnection studies for various generation technologies. Early career experience includes a role as Programmer Analyst/System Administrator at UC San Diego, providing technical support and system maintenance.
