Robert Gatewood

Robert Gatewood is a Senior Attorney at Burch, Porter & Johnson, PLLC since April 2022 and serves as an Adjunct Professor in Healthcare Law at the University of Memphis School of Public Health. Gatewood has been teaching undergraduate courses in Constitutional Law within the Criminal Justice Department at the University of Memphis since July 2006. Previous roles include Assistant Chief Policy Advisor for the Shelby County Sheriff's Office and Health Attorney for the Shelby County Public Health Department. Gatewood's earlier experience includes serving as In House Counsel for Farmers Insurance and as an Associate at Leitner, Williams, Dooley & Napolitan. Educationally, Gatewood holds a Master’s in Healthcare Administration and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Memphis, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology.
