Liz Johnston

Liz Johnston currently serves as the Director of Major Programs Agriculture and Water at the Bureau of Meteorology since January 2023. Prior to this, Liz held the position of Acting Director of Agriculture Industry Development and Policy Manager at Agriculture Victoria from May 2021 to January 2023. Liz also worked as a Senior Project Manager for Reviews and Inquiries at Emergency Management Victoria, focusing on strategy and policy coordination for the Royal Commission Inquiry into Natural Disaster Arrangements from April 2020 to May 2021. Earlier experience includes a Senior Project Manager role with the Victorian State Government from April 2009 to February 2020. Liz Johnston's educational background includes a Masters of Business Administration from Deakin University and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from RMIT University, among other qualifications in leadership and environment.
