Timothy McLean

Timothy McLean currently serves as General Manager of Communications at the Bureau of Meteorology since May 2023. Previously, Timothy held senior roles in the Department of Transport, including Senior Manager for Metro Transport Communications & Experience and Acting Director of Metro Transport Communications. Timothy's experience also includes serving as Executive Manager of Communications at the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority and Head of Government Relations at VicRoads. From January 2007 to June 2017, Timothy was Director of Improvement Programs at WorkSafe Victoria, focusing on strategic prevention initiatives for workplace health and safety. Timothy's career began as Media and Communications Officer at St Catherine's School. Timothy holds a Master of Arts in Global Media Communications from the University of Melbourne and a BA in Public Relations and Sociology from RMIT University.
