Rachana Ghimire

Rachana Ghimire is an experienced Human Resources Specialist with a focus on Employee and Labor Relations, currently employed at the Bureau of Reclamation since July 2021, and previously served in a similar capacity at the Bureau of Land Management from November 2018 to July 2021. Prior to these roles, Rachana worked as a Social Insurance Specialist at the Social Security Administration, where claims were processed in accordance with federal and state guidelines. Rachana's early career included various internships, notably as a Sustainability Intern at Washington and Lee University, focusing on campus recycling initiatives, and as a SCRiM Summer Scholar at Penn State University, conducting research on flood insurance risk maps. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Environmental Studies from Washington and Lee University, alongside additional studies abroad in climate change at the School for International Training.
