Bryan Domangue

Director, Gulf of Mexico OCS Region at Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement

Bryan Domangue is the Director of the BSEE Gulf of Mexico OCS Region in New Orleans, Louisiana. As the Director, Domangue is responsible for the regulation of operations, the inspection and enforcement program, the overall protection and safety of activities, resource conservation, and the environment compliance on OCS federal lands leased for oil, gas and other mineral development. He has oversight responsibilities for about 1,709 platforms as well as the rig activity that occurs in federal waters in the Gulf of Mexico. He leads a staff of 415, which includes petroleum engineers, structural engineers, geologists, geophysicists, environmental scientists and administrative staff.

Domangue has more than 30 years’ experience with the Federal government and the private sector. Previous BSEE experience includes Gulf of Mexico Deputy Regional Director for Districts, Investigations, Environmental, and Enforcement (DIEE); Senior Technical Advisor for the Gulf of Mexico Region Director; and as Acting Chief of the National Offshore Training Center. Other assignments include Office Supervisor for Regional Operations, District Manager for the Houma District Office, Field Engineer, and Production Engineer. Bryan holds a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University.
