François Chabas

Francois Chabas is the Executive Vice President and Group CFO at Bureau Veritas since February 2003, with a progressive career including roles such as Senior VP and CFO for Europe and Vice President Certification for North & Eastern Europe, overseeing operations and strategic investments across multiple countries. Chabas has also held the position of Chief Executive for the Nordic & Baltic District, managing Bureau Veritas's development in Scandinavia and the Baltic States. Prior to Bureau Veritas, Chabas served as a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young, gaining extensive experience in sectors such as mobile telecommunications and oil exploration, and worked as a Controller at Elf Atochem in Germany. Chabas holds a Master’s Degree from HEC Paris and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Université Paris-Sorbonne, alongside preparatory studies for business schools.
