Ulrike Therhaag has a comprehensive work experience in the energy industry. Ulrike is currently working at Bureau Veritas Group as the Global VP for Technical & Product Lines, focusing on accelerating the transition to NetZero for the Energy industry. In this role, they oversee the company's technical experts and is responsible for service portfolio development and innovation. Prior to this, Ulrike was the Global Technical Director for Power & Utilities at Bureau Veritas Group.
Before joining Bureau Veritas, Ulrike worked at TÜV Rheinland Group as the Vice President for Solar/Fuel Cell Technologies. Ulrike held this position for six years, from 2014 to 2020. Additionally, they worked at TÜV Rheinland (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. for seven years in various roles, including Director of Solar/Fuel Cell Technology and Manager of Renewable Energies.
Ulrike's early work experience includes an internship at the Commission National Energia de Chile in 2005 and an engineering internship at Gällivare Photovoltaic in 2002. Ulrike started their career as an apprentice industrial manager at SolarWorld in 1999.
Ulrike Therhaag completed their education at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences. Ulrike obtained a German Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from 2001 to 2005, and a Master of Science (MS) degree in the same field from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they attended Friedrich-List-Berufskolleg Bonn, where they pursued a degree in Industrial Management (Industriekauffrau) from 1999 to 2001.
