Ann Barr

Ann Barr is a Full Stack Engineer at Burendo since September 2025 and has been involved with PyCon UK Society Limited since November 2017, holding roles such as Facilities Coordinator, Conference Director, and Sponsorship Liaison. Ann has contributed to PyCon UK as a volunteer organizer for Django Girls workshops, targeting underrepresented groups in technology. Previous experience includes roles as a Software Engineer at Spektrix, Consultant at Infinity Works and Accenture UK & Ireland, and Developer at Equal Care Coop. Ann also operated a Tumble Tots franchise from July 2008 to March 2019 and served as a Volunteering Project Manager at Step Together Volunteering. Ann holds a BEng(Hons) in Electronic Engineering from The University of Sheffield and a BSc(Hons) in Psychology from The Open University.
