Ben Kneppers has held a range of positions in the sustainability field since 2006. In 2006, they worked as a Capstone Project Engineer at NASA Ames Research Center. In 2007, they were a Research Assistant at Greenland Enterprises. In 2008, they were a Research Officer at Aedi Group and a Sustainability Consultant at Beacon Pathway Ltd. In 2009, they became a Sustainability Consultant at Edge Environment. In 2010, they were a Contributor to Green Pages Magazine and a Teaching Assistant at the University of New South Wales, Faculty of the Built Environment. In 2011, they were the NSW Chapter Chair for the Australian Life Cycle Assessment Society. From 2012 to 2013, they were a Project Manager in the Products Sustainability line in the Department of Energy and Climate Change at Fundación Chile. Finally, from 2013 to present, they have been a Co-founder of Bureo Inc., working to scale a radically transparent model to eliminate fishing net pollution.
Ben Kneppers received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University from 2002 to 2007, and then went on to earn an MSc in Strategic Leadership Towards Sustainability from the Blekinge Institute of Technology from 2007 to 2008.
