Colin Ligman

Colin joined Burges Salmon in 1999 and became a partner in the real estate team in 2006. He specialises in advising on the real estate aspects of investment, development and rail infrastructure funding projects.

Colin has more than 20 years’ experience in development and investment finance secured on commercial real estate assets, working with their integrated real estate finance team across the firm. He advises lenders on debt and property holding structures and due diligence for new lending transactions.

Colin is head of the Real Estate Insolvency Team within the firm's Corporate Restructuring and Insolvency unit, advising fixed charge estate receivers and administrators appointed by lenders on bankruptcy, restructuring, enforcement and sales.
