Nathaniel Shaffer

Nathaniel Shaffer, P.E., ENV SP is an accomplished Senior Structural Engineer with nearly 10 years of experience. Nathaniel currently works at Burgess Construction Consultants, Inc. as a Senior Structural Engineer and Team Lead, where they oversee projects from roof to foundation across large residential neighborhoods, custom homes, and commercial developments. Prior to their current role, Nathaniel worked at Lalonde Engineering Inc as a Structural PE, gaining expertise in various fields such as residential and retail buildings, fast-food chains, trampoline parks, fiberglass steeples/cupolas, gas stations, and car washes. Nathaniel also worked at Freese and Nichols as a Project Manager and Structural Engineer, where they designed steel, concrete, and masonry buildings for municipal, military, industrial, aviation, manufacturing, and government clients. Nathaniel holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering with a Structural Emphasis from Texas A&M University. Nathaniel also has internship experience at both Freese and Nichols and Lalonde Engineering, where they gained hands-on experience in structural engineering and design calculations.

Nathaniel Shaffer, P.E., ENV SP holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Structural Engineering from Texas A&M University, which they obtained between 2010 and 2014. In addition, they have obtained the certification of ENV SP from the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure in 2015. Nathaniel also holds the certification of EIT from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, obtained in August 2014. Nathaniel is currently pursuing the Professional Engineer (PE) certification from both the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies and the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, although the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
