One of forty-one community centers in the State of Texas, the result of legislation passed in 1965, the Burke Center provides services in a twelve county region that includes: Angelina Co., Houston Co., Jasper Co., Nacogdoches Co., Newton Co., Polk Co., Sabine Co., San Augustine Co., San Jacinto Co., Shelby Co., Trinity Co., and Tyler Co.
