Franceen Loy

Franceen Loy has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as a Content Assistant at Burlingame Studios since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Modern Calligraphy Instructor at Sip & Script from September 2022. Franceen also has experience as a Freelance Illustrator and Graphic Designer at Apothetique Holistic, where they designed the company's logo and created illustrations for social media posts on medical cannabis and services offered.

In addition, Franceen worked as a Program Coordinator at the Book Club of California from September 2022 to January 2023. Previously, they held the role of Logistics Coordinator at Pill Club from July 2018 to February 2022.

Franceen has also been involved in various leadership roles, including serving as Treasurer and Social Media Manager for the BFA Gallery Committee at Shrunkenheadman Club from August 2020 to June 2021, and as Student Chapter Treasurer for the Women in Animation - Student Chapter at SJSU from November 2019 to May 2021.

Furthermore, Franceen has experience as an Animator at House of Chai in July and August 2020 and as a Social Media Coordinator for the animated short film "Malinchista" from October 2019 to May 2020. Franceen managed and created content for the film's social media pages, utilized data analytics for audience growth, engaged with organizations for support and collaborations, and worked towards a successful Kickstarter campaign to fund the project.

Earlier in their career, Franceen worked as a Handlettering Artist at Punkpost from September 2016 to August 2018. In this role, they designed and decorated personalized greeting cards and led workshops to guide other artists in developing their lettering styles.

Franceen Loy pursued their education chronologically, starting in 2010 at the University of the Philippines. Franceen studied Communication Arts, with a focus on Journalism and Broadcast Communication, until 2013. Franceen'seducational journey then continued at the College of San Mateo, where they studied Fine and Studio Arts from 2014 until 2017. Finally, they attended San Jose State University from 2017 to 2021, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Animation/Illustration.
