Maureen Lyden has a Bachelor of Education in Special Education and Teaching from Gonzaga University. Maureen also holds a Master of Education in Education/Teaching of Individuals in Early Childhood Special Education Programs from The Ohio State University and an Administrative Credential in Education Administration from Washington State University. Maureen has held various roles in the education field, starting as a Special Education Teacher and working their way up to Director of Special Programs. Currently, Maureen serves as a Teacher in the Burlington-Edison School District.

Burlington-Edison School District has a rich history of academic and co-curricular excellent, serving over 3100 students from Pre-K through 12th grade in five elementary/middle grade schools and one high school.
