Lieutenant: Administration at Burlington Police

Glen Mills is currently a lieutenant in the administration department at the Burlington Police Department. Glen has previous experience working in crime analysis with the Massachusetts Association of Crime Analysts, and has also worked as a police officer with the Burlington Police Department and as a member of the Society of Police Futurists International. Glen is also an experienced business owner, having owned and operated Mind, Body & Soul, a family-run social media marketing and search engine optimization company, from December 2010 to September 2012. Prior to that, they owned and operated Nami Spa, a family-run internet marketing, social media, and search engine optimization company, from January 2006 to December 2010. Glen began their professional career as a school custodian with the Town of Burlington School Department in July 1984 and held that position until August 1996.

Glen Mills has a Master's in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from University of Massachusetts Lowell, a Certificate in Local Government Leadership and Management from Suffolk University - Sawyer Business School, a Certificate in Law Enforcement Executive Development from PERF SMIP, a Certificate in Police Leadership from NEMLEC Senior Leadership Training Program - Roger Williams University, a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Western New England University, and a Certificate in Criminal Justice Management and Leadership from New England Institute of Law Enforcement Management. Glen also has certifications from FEMA in HSEEP - Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program, from the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee in MPTC 6 Day Instructor Development, and from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in FBI Crisis Negotiator.
