Laurie M.

Laurie M. has extensive experience in education, currently serving as a social emotional special education teacher at Burlington School District since August 2018. Additionally, Laurie has been a fitness instructor at Greater Burlington YMCA since June 2016. Previous roles include consulting teacher and 10th grade English co-teacher at Milton High School from August 2015 to July 2016, long-term substitute intensive needs special educator at Mount Mansfield Union High School, and various teaching positions at both Maritime Academy Charter High School and Young Scholars Charter School. Laurie began as a graduate student teacher at Gompers Elementary School in 2006. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Education Leadership/Special Education Supervision and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary/Special Education, both obtained from Saint Joseph's University.
