Amit Athavale

Amit Athavale has over a decade of experience in IT and software development, currently serving as the Director of IT Innovation at Burlington Stores, Inc. since May 2012. In this role, Amit manages a team focused on Microstrategy Reporting and Analysis and has previously held positions such as Manager of Business Intelligence and Manager of Store Systems Group, where significant projects included implementing a new hosted payment switch and Transarmor Tokenization Encryption. Amit's background features expertise in EMV implementations, Oracle Point of Service System integrations, and pioneering efforts in open-source technologies. Additionally, Amit has volunteered as an Emergency Medical Technician with North Brunswick First Aid Squad and gained customer service experience at Starbucks Corporation. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Pennsylvania State University.
