Samuel Murekefu has a diverse work experience in engineering, specifically in mechanical design. Samuel started their career as an Apprentice Mechanical Design Engineer at Sandpiper Technologies Limited in 2015, where they focused on designing mechanical systems, testing prototypes, and creating Solidworks drafts. Samuel then continued their career at Sandpiper Technologies Limited as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where they designed machined, molded, and formed parts for aerospace systems, utility trailers, and truck bodies. Samuel also managed design collaboration and documentation using SolidWorks Product Data Management. In 2018, Samuel joined BURN as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where they worked on design for manufacturability and the development of manufacturing processes. Samuel later became the Senior Design Engineer at BURN, responsible for conceptual and detailed design, guiding and training junior engineers, and developing product strategies. Most recently, Samuel became the Director of Innovation at BURN before transitioning to the role of Chief Product Officer.
Samuel Murekefu's education history begins in 2007 when they attended Mang'u High School, where they completed their high school studies until 2010. In 2011, they enrolled at Strathmore University to pursue a Certified Public Accountant I program, completing it in 2012.

Continuing their professional development, Samuel obtained a PROFESSIONAL - Mechanical Design certification from Dassault Systèmes in July 2020.
