Stacy Wairimu Okoth

Stacy Wairimu Okoth has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2008, they gained foundational experience in the financial services industry during their gap year experience at Equity Bank Limited. Stacy worked in 1st and 2nd line support, credit, and wealth management.

In 2013, Stacy had an internship as a NOC Engineer at Safaricom, where they managed and supervised the country-wide telecommunications and IT network infrastructure.

Stacy then joined the University of Nairobi in 2014 as an Infrastructure and Utilities Research Assistant, leading a team of electricians to analyze and redesign the university's electrical system.

Stacy began their career at Safaricom PLC in 2014 as a Graduate Management Trainee, successfully completing an 18-month cross-functional structured program. Stacy achieved significant milestones, such as developing concepts and go-to-market strategies for financial services, as well as being awarded the top innovator of 2015 for their contributions to strategy and innovation.

Throughout their tenure at Safaricom, Stacy held various roles, including M-PESA Product Manager and Senior Business Manager to the Chief Customer Officer, where they were responsible for product development, market analysis, strategy implementation, and improving customer experience.

In 2022, Stacy joined Antler as an Entrepreneur, and later, they co-founded Tawari Inc in the same year.

Currently, Stacy holds the position of Chief of Staff and Head of Strategy at BURN, a role they started in 2023.

Stacy Wairimu Okoth completed their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Information Engineering with First Class Honours from the University of Nairobi between 2009 and 2014. Prior to that, they attended Pangani girls high school from 2004 to 2007 for their high school education. Stacy completed their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) from Westlands primary school between 2000 and 2003. Their earliest education was at Vantage elementary school from 1996 to 1999, where they did not earn any specific degree or field of study.
