Zoe Ashton has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and education sectors.
Zoe currently works as an Examiner at NCFE since 2022.
Prior to that, they held various roles at Burnley College, including Health Education Specialist and Trainee Lecturer in Health, Science, and the Services, starting in 2020.
Before joining Burnley College, Zoe worked at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust as a Midwifery Practice Development Coordinator from 2018 to 2020, and as a Community Midwife from 2017 to 2018.
Zoe also served as an RCM Workplace Representative at The Royal College of Midwives from 2016 to 2020.
Zoe gained experience as a Midwife at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust from 2013 to 2017.
Zoe also worked as an Antenatal Educator at Birth and Beyond and as a Ward Clerk at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in 2012.
Zoe's earlier work experience includes volunteering as a Doula at Goodwin Development Trust from 2007 to 2009, where they supported isolated and vulnerable women during their pregnancy and postnatal period.
Zoe Ashton began their education history by earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Midwifery from the University of Hull, which they completed between 2009 and 2012. Prior to that, they pursued a BA (Hons) degree in Theatre Design from Nottingham Trent University, from 1995 to 1998.
Recently, in 2021, Zoe Ashton enrolled at The University of Bolton to pursue a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Teacher Education and Professional Development, Specific Subject Areas. Zoe is expected to complete this program in 2023.
In addition to their formal education, Zoe Ashton obtained a Pgce certification from The University of Bolton in February 2023.
