Henry A. Mercaldo, Jr. is currently the Railroad & Transit Project Manager at Burns Engineering, Inc. Mercaldo has experience as an Associate / Senior Structural Engineer, Project Manager, Senior Structural Project Engineer, and Design Engineer.
Mercaldo began their engineering career in 1994 as an Urban Engineer with positions including Assistant Resident Engineer, Resident Engineer, and Construction Inspector. Henry transitioned to Cagley, Harman & Associates in 1996 as a Design Engineer before joining EwingCole in 1998 as a Project Engineer. In 2000, they moved to KlingStubbins where they worked as a Senior Structural Project Engineer until 2005 when they joined Cubellis. At Cubellis, Mercaldo worked their way up from Associate to Senior Structural Engineer before the company was purchased by The Burns Group in 2011. Henry remained with The Burns Group (Klein and Hoffman) until 2012 when they joined their current company, Burns Engineering.
In 2009, Mercaldo started their own company, Mercaldo Engineering. Henry ran the company until 2011 when they joined QBS International as a Project Structural Engineer. Mercaldo worked on highway bridge and building projects until they returned to Burns Engineering in 2012.
Henry A. Mercaldo, Jr. received a Master of Civil Engineering from Villanova University in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering, and a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from Penn State University in Structural Engineering Option. Henry also attended Haverford High School.
