May ElKhattab is the Railroad & Transit Project Manager at Burns Engineering, Inc. May has over eight years of experience in the engineering field, with a focus on geotechnical engineering and transportation projects. Prior to their current position, May worked as a Senior Engineer at Arup, where they managed a team of engineers and technicians working on various transportation projects. May has also worked as a Graduate Student at The University of Texas at Austin, where they researched and developed equations to predict the penetration depth of bentonite slurry into sand, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at MIT, where they analyzed the dispersion of various gases in Lisbon, Portugal.

May ElKhattab has a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Civil Engineering from American University of Beirut.
