Mike Fenske

President, Global Facilities at Burns & McDonnell

Mike Fenske is the current President of Global Facilities at Burns & McDonnell. Mike has over 20 years of experience in the field of architecture and construction, with a focus on commercial, retail, critical environments and manufacturing facilities.

Fenske began their career at Burns & McDonnell in 1998 as the Aircraft Maintenance Facility Sector Leader. In this role, they were responsible for leading the design and construction of aircraft maintenance facilities for a variety of clients. In 2006, they were promoted to Manager of Production, and then to Program Manager in charge of the JSF Production Facility Expansion in 2010.

In 2012, Fenske was promoted to Senior Vice President and General Manager of Global Facilities. In this role, they led the expansion of the Global Facilities Practice to four additional regional offices: Fort Worth, Dallas, Minneapolis and Norfolk, Virginia. Mike also oversaw the talent acquisition, project management and sales for the practice.

Under Fenske’s leadership, the Global Facilities Practice has become one of the leading providers of design and construction services in the private sector buildings marketplace.

Mike Fenske received their Master's in Science in Engineering Management from The University of Kansas and their Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Mike is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of Texas, Florida, New York, and Kansas. Mike also holds a certification from the Design-Build Institute of America.

They are on a team with Jerry Fan - SVP, New England, Rashmi Menon - VP, Southern California, and Darcy Wagner - Managing Director, Canada. Mike Fenske reports to Ray Kowalik, Chairman and CEO.
