Additionally, Maria serves as the Student Ministry Communications Associate at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church, a position held since September 2016, where responsibilities include event coordination, communications, social media management, website management, and graphic design for promotional materials. Maria earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Pensacola Christian College between 1993 and 1997.
