Abhijeet Kulkarni

Abhijeet joined Buro Happold India in 2019. As Country Director for our structures team in India, he is responsible for business growth and leads projects as a Project Principal.

Prior to joining the firm, Abhijeet was based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for 17 years, working on a variety of projects, ranging from high-rise towers and complex structures, to structural forensics and industrial buildings.

As structural lead, Abhijeet has been instrumental in delivering a diverse range of projects with demanding time scales in a competitive market. He has led interdisciplinary teams on multiple tall building projects, ranging from 150m to 350m, where effective and prudent cross-discipline coordination with timely input were key for successful delivery.

With over 25 years experience, Abhijeet’s international portfolio spans India, UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, UK, Kazakhstan and Libya.

He is a Fellow of IStructE UK, ICE UK and Institution of Engineers India, as well as being a member of Engineers Australia.
