Cathal Hayes

Cathal Hayes is a seasoned civil and environmental engineer with extensive experience in infrastructure consultancy. As a Partner and Director of Infrastructure at Buro Happold since December 2021, Cathal oversees the delivery of services including utilities, highways, and energy consultancy. Previous roles include Technical Director and Associate Director at WSP in the Middle East, where Cathal managed teams on diverse projects spanning urban development and infrastructure design across the region. Prior experience encompasses managing the Civil Engineering department at Waterman International in Dubai, along with senior engineering positions at Pierse Contracting and Moylan Consulting Engineers in Dublin. Cathal holds a B.E. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Galway.
