Ian Nicholson

Ian Nicholson is an Associate at Buro Happold, specializing in economic development and real estate projects across upstate New York as part of the Reimagine the Canals initiative. Since June 2018, Ian has served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation, focusing on pre-development analysis and development processes. Ian’s previous experience includes roles such as Project Architect at Robinson + Grisaru Architecture and Junior Design Architect at Zimmerman Workshop Architecture + Design, among others. Ian holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University.
