Jay Schaeffer

Jay Schaeffer has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Jay began their career in 1996 at Commerce Bank as a Novell & Unix Systems Manager, where they were responsible for the planning, analysis, design, and implementation of Novell technologies. Jay also managed a Novell environment of over 500 servers and the enterprise directory, and developed and implemented a UNIX patch management program. In 2008, they moved to TD, where they served as Distributed Computing Windows Manager and Mid-Range Engineering Manager. During their time there, they developed and approved Windows Server platform standards and base patterns, and defined Windows 2012 server and Active Directory security with a focus on DMZ, PCI, and SOX regulations. In 2015, they joined Pioneer Tool & Machine as an IT Administrator/Consultant, where they initiated a Cyber Security Audit based on the SANS CIS Critical Security Controls, implemented an asset tracking solution as part of risk program, created a Cyber training program, and developed a quote tracking database. Since 2017, they have been the Manager of Infrastructure and Services at W Atlee Burpee.

Jay Schaeffer attended Rutgers from 1994 to 2000, studying Information Technology. Jay also holds an ITIL certification from EXIN.
