Chad Hazen

Chad Hazen has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Chad began their career as a Shipping Coordinator at Tri B Nursery in 1997 before transitioning to the United States Department of the Air Force as an Aircraft Armament Systems Specialist in 1998. After leaving the military in 2005, they returned to Tri B Nursery as a Transportation Manager from 2003 to 2012. In 2012, they joined Berry Family of Nurseries as the Manager of Shipping and Logistics until 2014, when they were promoted to the position of Senior Manager, Corporate EH&S. Chad held this role until 2015 before moving to Zelenka Farms as the Senior Manager, Corporate EH&S. In 2016, they joined Burrow's Post-Frame Supply as the Director of Transportation and Safety, and in 2019, they were promoted to the position of Director of Continuous Improvement & Safety.

Chad Hazen attended Northeastern State University from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Environmental Management and Safety Management. In addition to their degree, Chad has completed several certifications throughout their career. In 2015, they obtained their OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification and their OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification from the UT Arlington OSHA Training Institute Education Center. In 2016, Chad received their Certified Production Technician certification from the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council. Chad also holds a Private Applicators License from the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food & Forestry, which they obtained in 2015. Moreover, Chad has a Forklift Operator Safety Training certificate from the Indian Capital Technology Center, acquired in 2014. Most recently, in 2020, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from the University of Oklahoma. Additionally, Chad has completed a First Aid/CPR/AED certification from the Emergency Care and Safety Institute in 2022.
