Matthew Burns

Matthew Burns is an experienced professional in the fields of data management and technology architecture. Currently serving as the Director of Data, Development, & Architecture at Burton Snowboards since July 2014, Matthew manages the design, development, and implementation of the company's data ecosystem, leading teams in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Engineering, and data management. Prior to this role, Matthew held the position of Lead Architect for Call Center Technologies at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee from June 2006 to June 2014, where responsibilities included designing enterprise solutions aimed at enhancing customer experiences. Matthew's earlier experience includes roles such as Application Developer at Interact Incorporated and Desktop Developer at WebMD MacHealth. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Japanese from Nebraska Wesleyan University, completed in 2002.
