Emily Johnson, MSW has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Emily started their career as a Summer Scholars Staff at Loyola University Chicago in 2014. Emily then worked as a Social Work Teaching Assistant at Carthage College from 2013 to 2015.

In 2015, Emily had internships at A Safe Place as a Legal Advocacy Intern and at WNCA as a Behavioral Treatment Technician. Emily also worked as a Law/File Clerk at Hackney, Grover, Hoover & Bean from 2016 to 2016.

Emily joined Wyman Center as a Program Assistant in 2017 before moving on to The Little Bit Foundation, where they held multiple roles. Emily served as a MSW Practicum Student, a Program Coordinator, a Health and Wellness Manager, and eventually became the Director of Programs. Emily worked at The Little Bit Foundation from 2017 to 2020.

From 2020 to 2022, Emily worked at the Area Resources for Community and Human Services (ARCHS) as the Director of School Age Initiatives.

Currently, Emily is employed at Busey as a Community Relations & Marketing Specialist. Emily started this role in August 2022 and is still currently employed.

Emily Johnson received their Bachelor's degree in Social Work and Spanish from Carthage College from 2012 to 2016. Following this, they pursued a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree with a specialization in Children, Youth, and Families at the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis from 2016 to 2017.
