Skip Watson

Skip Watson has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial industry. Skip is currently the Executive Vice President and Regional President for Indiana at Busey, a position they began in September 2022. Prior to that, Skip held various roles at KeyBank, including Executive Vice President of the Commercial Banking Group and Dealer Finance, where they had P&L responsibility for multiple markets and managed billions of dollars in loan commitments. Skip also served as the Executive Vice President of the Commercial Banking Group and Wealth Management, overseeing operations in three states with a total staff of 165.

Before their time at KeyBank, Skip worked at Wells Fargo as the Regional Vice President of Commercial Banking for the State of Indiana. During their tenure, they implemented a consultative approach with C-suite executives and significantly increased loan commitments through a major account sales strategy.

Prior to Wells Fargo, Skip was the Principal and Head of New Business Development & Operations at Spectrum Management Group. Skip transformed the business from a part of Raymond James to an Independent RIA and led the overall transition.

Earlier in their career, Skip worked at PNC Financial Services Group, where they held multiple roles, including Executive Vice President and Managing Director of the Wealth Management Group. Skip also served as the Senior Vice President and Head of Commercial Banking and as the Head of Large Corporate Banking & Capital Markets Coordinator for Indiana.

Skip's career began at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where they held the position of First Vice President in Large Corporate Banking.

Throughout their career, Skip has demonstrated strong leadership and strategic skills, successfully managing P&L responsibilities and driving revenue growth.

Skip Watson holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Economics from Valparaiso University. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications including Business Succession and Exit Planning from the Business Enterprise Institute, Certified Private Wealth Advisor from the Investment Management Consultants Association, Executive Development Program from the Center for Executive Development, and a Series 65 License from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
