Gina Gerner started their work experience in 2017 as an ERP Inventory Specialist at noosa yoghurt. In 2018, they moved on to become a Senior Food Curation Analyst at ZeroCater, where they designed customized corporate food and beverage services and tripled the client base by creating custom service quotes. In 2020, Gina joined Edventures as a UX/UI Designer, where they designed user-centric web app products, redesigned the company website, and collaborated with marketing on brand development and social media strategy. Currently, Gina is a Product Designer at Bushel, where they work on designing products.

Gina Gerner completed their education at two institutions. Gina obtained a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Economics & Policy from Oregon State University, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. In 2020, they enrolled in Designlab and completed the UX Academy program, focusing on UX/UI Design. Alongside their education, Gina also obtained additional certifications. In September 2020, they completed the UX Academy Foundations certification from Designlab. Later, in March 2022, they obtained the Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner certification from IBM. Additionally, in May 2022, they achieved certification in Journey Mapping from the Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF).
