Position Overview

Associates play a crucial role in advancing BSR's mission by conducting rigorous research and analysis across a diverse set of industries with strong perspectives on ESG, sustainability, investment management, capital markets, and private equity markets.

Their responsibilities include crafting well-researched documents and presentations, as well as the efficient execution of projects. Associates work closely with Project Managers and Directors in areas of business consulting, specialized training, sustainability leadership and sustainability development.

  • Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on sustainability leadership practices, emerging ESG trends, and due diligence procedures in impact investing and sustainable finance.
  • Project Execution & Management: Support BSR teams with research, written content, knowledge management, and tool creation to enhance project execution. Assist senior colleagues in crafting projects, ESG materiality, strategy, roadmaps, reporting and implementation plans, and schedules for project delivery.
  • Client Engagement & Deliverables: Produce client-ready deliverables in various formats such as workshop content, business development pitches, and case studies. Collaborate in the content and design of working group meetings, training sessions, and workshops, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of all materials.
  • Special Projects: Provide targeted support on special projects and assignments, particularly those aligned with BSR's broader mission and goals in the realms of ESG, sustainable finance and impact investing.

This is a full-time opportunity. Candidate must reside and be eligible to work in Paris, London or Copenhagen.

Compensation

At BSR we have implemented a transparent total compensation framework with an emphasis on internal equity. In order to maintain our equity, our hiring rates for this position are listed below. Location adjustment will apply if successful candidates resides in Paris

London £42,138 

Copenhagen 459,939 kr.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience.
  • Experience in finance, strategy, sustainability, investment management, ESG reporting or as a business consultant.
  • Exceptional research, writing, and analytical abilities, capable of delivering high-quality outputs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and clear articulation of complex ideas.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple projects, attention to details, and meet varying and often rapid deadlines effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft platforms (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and the ability to quickly adapt to in using other software tools
  • Language Proficiency: High level of fluency in English required; proficiency in a second language is a significant advantage.
  • Highly entrepreneurial, self-motivated with the ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
  • Unwavering commitment to high ethical standards and to BSR's core values of leadership, respect, and integrity.
  • Openness to engage in up to 15% business travel as needed.

Candidates with the following qualifications will receive preference.

  • Experience in investment due diligence.
  • The CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing, CFA charter Holder, or successfully passed level 2.
  • CAIA Charter Holder.
