Jy Hoh (Jian Yang)

JY (Jian Yang) Hoh is a professional with extensive experience in the intersection of technology and human rights. Since January 2022, JY has served as the Manager of Technology and Human Rights at BSR (Business for Social Responsibility). Previously, JY worked as a Legal Officer at the Centre for Law and Democracy from November 2020 to December 2021 and as a Staff Lawyer at the Canadian Civil Liberties Association from July 2019 to August 2020, where JY was also a Law Foundation of Ontario Public Interest Articling Fellow. Earlier roles include Assistant Director at the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Singapore, caseworker at the Humanitarian Organisation for Migration Economics, and legal intern positions at Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights and Accountability Counsel. JY's educational background includes a BA in Law from the University of Oxford and an LLM in International Law from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law.
