Kaitlin Petersen

Editor in Chief at Business of Home

Kaitlin Petersen has gained extensive experience in the publishing industry. Kaitlin started their career as an Editorial Assistant at Chicago Magazine in June 2010 and worked there until December 2010. In January 2011, they joined Conde Nast as an Editorial Assistant for Vanity Fair & Vogue International. However, they left the company after six months in June 2011. Kaitlin then moved on to Hearst Magazines, where they served as an Editorial Assistant for VERANDA from December 2011 to October 2014. Kaitlin later took on the roles of Associate Editor at Metropolitan Home (Spring 2016 issue) and Deputy Editor (Fall 2017 issue) at Hearst Magazines. In October 2017, Kaitlin joined Business of Home as the Editor in Chief, and they currently hold this position.

Kaitlin Petersen pursued their education at Northwestern University, where they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Global Health Studies from 2006 to 2010. In 2009, they also attended Sciences Po briefly, focusing on Public Health Policy and Institutions.
