Aaron Barnes has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. Aaron co-founded the Business Relationship Management Institute in 2013 and served as the Co-CEO and later as the CEO. Prior to that, they worked at Columbia Sportswear as the Global Director of Retail Applications. Aaron also served as a City Council member in Sidney, Nebraska. Aaron's experience in the retail industry includes roles as a Senior Business Relationship Manager at Cabela's and as the founder of Aaron Barnes and Company, LLC, providing consulting services to retail industry clients. Earlier in their career, they worked at JDA Software as a Director and Solution Strategist, and at Penn Danniels JACKS as a Project Manager. Additionally, they co-founded Cherico Graphics and operated as a developer.

Aaron Barnes, MBRM, has a diverse education history. Aaron attended Harvard Law School in 2004 for a course in Negotiation. In 2013-2014, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at the University of Phoenix, specializing in Business Administration and Management. Prior to that, from 2003-2005, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in both Business Administration and Management, as well as Marketing, from the University of Phoenix.

In addition to their degrees, Aaron has acquired several certifications throughout their career. Aaron holds a Master of Business Relationship Management (MBRM®) certification from the Business Relationship Management Institute (BRM Institute), obtained in 2021. Aaron is also a Certified Business Relationship Manager (CBRM®) accredited by APMG International in 2016. Other certifications include Business Relationship Management Professional (BRMP) from the Business Relationship Management Institute in 2014, Advanced Certificate in Business Analysis from the University of Colorado at Denver in 2012, Practitioner Certificate in Business Analysis from the same institution in 2012, and further professional development in project management from ESI International/George Washington University in 2007.
