Chinwe Michael

Chinwe Michael is a seasoned journalist with expertise in financial inclusion, fintech, and economic reporting, currently serving as the Head of Financial Inclusion at BusinessDay since April 2022. Responsibilities include writing economy articles, analyzing financial statements, and conducting financial market reporting. Previous experience includes a role as a Tech Journalist, focusing on topics such as artificial intelligence and telecommunications, as well as serving as a Tax Manager/Consultant during an NYSC placement at Adewale Ogundele & Co, where duties involved accounting and tax return preparation. Chinwe also held a position as an Accounting teacher at Samuel Secondary School, where additional roles included leading the Debate and Drama club and serving as a form teacher. Chinwe holds a Higher National Diploma and an Ordinary National Diploma in Banking and Finance from The Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri.
