Jarrod Poynton

Jarrod Poynton has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Jarrod started their career in 1992 at Eagle Star as a Systems Analyst, where they were responsible for the development and maintenance of CICS business transactions. Jarrod later joined Zurich Financial Services in the same role and successfully designed and implemented an enterprise document management and workflow solution. In 2004, Jarrod joined BearingPoint as a Manager and specialized in solution architecture, focusing on Enterprise Content Management, Business Process Management, Web Content Management, and Business Intelligence. During this time, they completed various projects, including designing a logical data model for a Teradata enterprise data warehouse and implementing a custom scanning and document indexing solution for a retail bank. In 2011, Jarrod joined DST Systems as the Head of Solutions, Business Process (EMEA), where they led a software pre-sales team and extended solution consulting team. Jarrod was responsible for identifying clients' operational and business process problems and proposing implementable solutions. Additionally, they owned the product strategy and business case for transitioning from on-premise software to a platform as a service (PAAS) solution. Jarrod took some time off between 2017 and 2018 to be a dedicated father. Most recently, they have been working as the VP of Products at BusinessOptix Ltd since May 2018, where they are responsible for driving the product strategy and development.

Jarrod Poynton completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Computing from the University of Sunderland, where they studied from 1988 to 1992.
