Dalton Li has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Dalton began their career as a Nuclear Submarine Officer in the US Navy from 2001 to 2004. After leaving the Navy, they worked as an Assistant Professor from 2004 to 2006. Dalton then joined McKinsey & Company as a Consultant, specializing in business management and lean management approaches. Their role at McKinsey involved working with clients in various industries and establishing continuous improvement organizations globally. In 2012, Dalton joined MassMutual as Vice President of Corporate Strategy before taking on roles as Vice President of Continuous Improvement and Strategy Deployment, and later as Head of Learning and Lean Practices. Dalton then moved to OppenheimerFunds, where they served as Head of Innovation and Tech Strategy from 2017 to 2019. Dalton's next position was at Vanguard, where they held the role of Head of Strategic Enablement and Advancement from 2020 to 2022. Currently, Dalton is working at BusPatrol as the Chief Product Officer and Head of Corporate Development, and has also served as a Strategic Advisor in the same company.

Dalton Li has a diverse education history with degrees in Operations Research, Nuclear Engineering, and Systems Analysis Engineering. Dalton completed their Master of Science degree in Operations Research from The George Washington University in 2000, after which they pursued their Master of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering at the Nuclear Power School - Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC) in 2001. Prior to that, from 1995 to 1999, they earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Analysis Engineering from The George Washington University. Additionally, in August 2017, Dalton Li obtained the Shingo Silver medallion from the Shingo Institute - Home of the Shingo Prize. Notably, they also attained the title of Nuclear Engineer during their time at the Nuclear Power School - Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC) in 2001.
