Ryan Monell

Ryan Monell currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Government Operations at BusPatrol since June 2024. Prior to this role, Ryan was the Vice President of Government Affairs at the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) from January 2020 to June 2024, where efforts focused on advocacy before City Hall and supporting state legislative initiatives. Ryan held various positions at Gilbane Building Company, including Vice President of City Government Affairs and Director of City Legislative Affairs from January 2018 to January 2020. Earlier experience includes serving as Director of Policy and Communications for Councilmember Rafael Salamanca, Jr. at the New York City Council, and as Director of Communications at Red Horse Strategies. Ryan's career began with roles in the Ohio Senate, including Legislative Aide for Senate Democratic Leader Joe Schiavoni. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Strategic Communication from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government with a minor in Communications from The Ohio State University.
