Director Of Adult Education at Butler Community College

Sherry Watkins has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sherry began their career as a Teacher at Bluemont Elementary School from 1989 to 1999. Sherry then worked as an Admin Assistant at Emporia State University from 2009 to 2012. Sherry went on to join Flint Hills Technical College in 2010, where they held roles as a Basic Skills Instructor for Adult Education and an I-Best Instructor and Case Manager for Power Plant Technology until 2014. In 2015, Sherry became the Director of Adult Education at Butler Community College, a position they currently hold. Additionally, they served as the Director of Adult Education at Wichita Indochinese Center starting in 2017.

Sherry Watkins has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Horticultural Therapy from Kansas State University, which they obtained from 1980 to 1983. Sherry later pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Education from the same university from 1984 to 1987. Finally, they completed a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Kansas State University from 1987 to 1989.
